I have had an interest in photography since I was a teenager growing up on the coast of Maine. The memories of developing black-and-white prints in a darkroom at the Bayshore Baptist church in Lincolnville Beach remain vivid. Over the 40 years since, my interests have expanded to a variety of photographic disciplines, as well as videography. My passion is anything nautical. Over the past few years I have immersed myself in the commercial fishing industry in New England, and have met hard-working fishermen and boatbuilding artisans from Montauk, Long Island, to Lubec, Maine, and points in between. To capture the sunrise on the working waterfront or a trap full of lobsters breaking onto the rails is simply wonderful!
I respect the men and women who risk their lives to bring the treasures of our oceans to our tables. Capturing them on film is something I will never stop enjoying.
