The third Schoodic Sculpture Symposium took place this summer on a ball field in Prospect Harbor. Six sculptors were chosen from around the world to make large works from granite that will be installed in six down east towns. They started work on August 2, 2011, and the public was invited to watch as they chipped, carved, and blasted. The closing ceremony was held September 14.
